Wet footwell

Hi
Hoping for some advice.
I have a Vauxhall Corsa and the drivers' side footwell is very wet...in fact, saturated. It has been like this for a few weeks and originally happened during a spell of heavy rain and then dried during a dry spell.
After another bout of heavy rain, it got saturated again and even in the dry weather doesn't seem to by drying out at all.
I've also noticed that the inside of the windscreen has been getting very condensated.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Thanks!

Blockage, under the windscreen wipers there's a large channel for water to drain off, this is where the cabin air is taken from too, there are small rubber ducts which get blocked up with leaves/crap.... This fills with water until it reaches the level of the pollen filter and then pours into the car. Sort it out quickly and get someone to spray a little oil into the cabin fan else it'll rust up and stop working..... VX charge hundreds to replace one of those.
Other less likely possibles:
Leaking seal around the aerial.
Poor quality windscreen replacement.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Has it got a sunroof?
If the drain tubes come adrift or get blocked the footwells can fill with water.0 -
Assuming you find the fault, to help stop condensation place a bowl of dish washer salt overnight in the footwell. Any moisture will be absorbed by the salt.0

Thanks for your replies.
No it doesn't have a sunroof.
Will try the a bowl of salt to stop the condensation.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Will have a look at the ducts by the pollen filter too.
Not had a windscreen replacement so think it is probably the blockage especially since my car is parked under trees most of the time so I guess leaves can easily get in.
Thanks again.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I have the same problem with my Corsa, thanks for the tips.0

The condensation will be due to the well footwell.0

Once you have found and stopped the leak, or possibly before, you will probably need to take the carpets up. Even if the surface carpet looks dry after a couple of days, you will find that the underlay beneath is saturated and will take forever (or even longer) to dry in the car. Plus it may start the floor corroding.0

^^ Long extension lead + room dehumidifier set to 40% or less, should do the trick“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
