Just got my renewal quote from Cornhill Direct- monthly instalments are interest free.0

If you are using that criteria to narrow down your quotes then you won't find the best product at the best price.0

I think Abbey still offer no extra charge for monthly payments.

But why should a company charge you to pay monthly - bet their cover doesn't measure up0

Well Liverpool Victoria charge. Their cover and service is very good, so yout comment seems completely off thr ball. Posiibly the interest rate might be an indicator of their stance.regularsaver1 wrote:But why should a company charge you to pay monthly - bet their cover doesn't measure up0 -
Not off the ball - just don't see why they should charge you to pay by direct debit
I am all for unlimited policies rather than ones that limit you - thats my personal opinion too
When I said their i did not mean one company - i meant in general0 -

To be clear it was your statement<<bet the cover doesn't measure up>> that I found off the ball:D You could not say that of LV. I have expereince of them and no cries of anguish as with some of the budget offeringd:beer:0 -
Those that don't charge will have made allowance for the admin costs in their premium calculations so at the end of the day the total premium paid (all monthly repayments added up if you are paying monthly) is the only way to compare on price. APR's are not particularly relevant either, the flat percentage increase is more relevant.
The charge for paying monthly and if there is one at all is not related to the level of cover or service provided.0
