How much are you paying for your band?

Hi all
I went to a wedding fayre today and found the most AMAZING band. Me, my BM, Mum and little sister all loved them.
They do all the "old school" music (build me up buttercup, walking on sunshine etc) and as long as we let them know at least 6 weeks in advance, they will learn our first dance song and play it for us as well.
They are a singer, 2 guitarists, drummer and keyboard player, and also come with a DJ and disco for in the breaks, for £1,100 including travel (about 80 miles each way)
I just wondered what sort of prices other people have paid for their bands?
Thanks ladies!!!

We're paying £1,500 for our band, but they'll be with us all day. They're going to do acoustic music during the ceremony and drinks reception and then proper band sets in the evening. And they're learning our song for the first dance too.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0

we're paying just over 1000 for a 6 piece ceilidh band and caller. I think that's for either 2 long sets or 3 shorter sets and them arranging the music for in between.

I have had quotes from 700, 800 (4 piece bands) to 1,250 for a 10 piece band. All doing the same sort of thing - 2 hours total - can be split into 3 lots of 45 mins or 2 lots of 1 hour sets, and they will do the fill in 'ipod' music whilst they are taking breaks... one band we saw at a wedding fayre yesterday was charging 1100 for the same amount of time (5 people) BUT a real live DJ in the inbetween times... that seems good... its sooo hard as I want a harpist or classical guitarist for the reception drinks... fortunately the Gospel Choir that I sing with will be doing all the church stuff for free as a gift! Hurrah! Roll on the Sister Act numbers, I say!!!!! Lol.... xxxx (we are getting married in South Devon on April 30 by the way if that helps!)0

We're paying £750 but that's because we contacted the band direct - I saw them on an agency page initially where they were quoting nearly £1,000 ... it's for 3 guys, travelling from Norfolk to Essex on a Saturday night in May 2011.0

We're having a three piece accoustic band play between 8pm and 9.30pm and they're costing £520 which also includes learning our first and second song.
Went to see them a few weeks ago and they were amazing! And we thought a bit different from your typical wedding band... :j
Then the DJ is coming on after but he's included in our venue's package.0 -
We're paying £405 for a 3 piece ceilidh band, who're doing a 2 hour set, and then £250 for a DJ afterwards for the rest of the night.
