Halifax CC validation

I recently received my new card and was surprisd to see that I had to ring a 0870 number to validate it. Usually these number are 0800 free calls. However, I did get an alternative number from saynoto0870.com so it was still a free call for me. Needs to be free because it turns out to be a long call with all the "spiel"

Might help if you publish the free number too

Additionally, if convenient, walk in to a branch and ask to "borrow" their phone to make the call. Then they can pick up the bill!0 -
Sorry, I have destroyed the sticker with the number on it:o but if you ever need it, it is on the saynoto0870 site, all the alternative Halifax 0870 numbers are there.0
