    I have one alternative number for the tax credits "help" line, it is:
    01355 359007.

    I find that they're usually more accepting of using this number if you explain how bad their 0845 one is for getting through.

    can I ask how you were getting WTC? Me and my partner both work full time on NMW but aren't eligable for it, is it because you have kids?
    we're not entitled to anything!

    If you don't have kids or a disability, you need to be at least 25 to claim. The cut off point is around £18k.

    Both over 25 must have read the thread wrong thought they were getting more than £18k
