Hi nikkilou, I've posted links to some of the main attractions in Llandudno. Some of these are seasonal and weather dependent although the weather has been very good so far this weekend, plenty of blue skies and sunshine.

The pier is certainly worth a try as it's only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and admission is free, although you might find a lot of the kiosks are closed now that the school holidays are over. The other places, with the exception of the Mostyn Gallery, will cost and whether or not you'll be interested depends on your personal tastes.

    Dry Ski Slope/Toboggan Run - http://jnlllandudno.co.uk/
    Great Orme Mines- http://www.greatormemines.info/
    Great Orme Cable Cars -http://www.tentopllandudno.co.uk/attractions/Llandudno-Cable-Car.html
    Great Orme Tramway - http://www.greatormetramway.co.uk/
    Llandudno Pier - http://www.visitllandudno.org.uk/content.php?nID=13&langID=1&dID=14&offset=&aID=29
    Bodafon Farm Park - http://bodafonfarmpark.com/
    Mostyn Art Gallery - http://www.mostyn.org/

Nightlife is centred around Upper Mostyn Street, just on the edge of the town centre. The main places to try are Fountains, The Fat Cat and The Gresham. The Wetherspoons in town is worth a look just for the architecture alone. It's called The Palladium and is a converted cinema as the name might suggest. There's some other options here - http://www.qype.co.uk/ukl13-llandudno/categories/609-pubs-and-bars?layout=narrowmap

The only nightclub proper in town is the Broadway Boulevard which has always in my experience been a) a dive and b) rough, although it's apparently been revamped recently. I wouldn't personally recommend going there but that's probably because I've evolved into a grumpy old git - http://www.broadwayboulevard.co.uk/

If you're into the theatre there's a run of the new Alan Bennett plan starting this week at Venue Cymru - http://www.venuecymru.co.uk/details.php?id=919

As far as eating out try Candles, No. 1 Bistro or The Seahorse. Otherwise have a browse here - http://www.qype.co.uk/ukl13-llandudno/categories/1-restaurants?layout=narrowmap

Llandudno is also the best shopping centre along the North Wales coast. In the town centre amongst other shops you'll find two Marks & Spencers, Next Clearance and the Victoria Centre which is an indoor shopping mall with some decent shops (check out DB Designer Outlet). Just on the edge of the town centre is Parc Llandudno which has Debenhams, BHS, Monsoon, Next, Outfit, River Island and more - http://www.qype.co.uk/ukl13-llandudno/categories/3-shopping

If there's anything specific you're interested in let me know and I'll try to give you a more specific answer.

I agree with Fat Andy. Llandudno is beautiful. I love going on the pier with the kids during the summer. One thing I advise you to visit a small kiosk selling the best "99" ice cream I have ever had! Not sure what the name of the place is but its at the top end near the crossing (by old Woolworths) & its right on the corner as you turn towards the pier. It has a cafe/pub on the corner. Its about £1.50 & HUGE!

maybe FatAndy could tell me the name of the place!

It's called 'Holmes Place', just around the corner from the Carlton pub.

p.s. The old Woolworths has been taken over a company called 'Alworths' which was set up by one of the former directors of Woolworths. It's very similar to Woolworths so if you're feeling nostalgic for Woolies it's worth a look.

Hope the weather holds for you...just remember it can be chilly up the cable car...we went up once with our 2 DSs when they were 4 and 2, we'd had a lovely morning in the sun on the beach, headed for the cable car and luckily we had all our beach gear with us as we went up. It got cloudier and colder and in the end we had to wrap the shivering kids in beach towels. By the time we got to the top it was thick grey and we didnt even get off the thing but went straight back down again!

There are a couple of promotional events for Rally GB due to be held on the weekend of 30th and 31st October, which may feature some of the world's top drivers doing meet and greets, driving demonstrations and so on.

    http://www.northwalesweeklynews.co.uk/conwy-county-news/local-conwy-news/2010/09/30/world-rally-championship-stars-could-come-to-llandudno-55243-27366828/

I believe the 30th will be on Conwy Quay and the 31st at West Shore, Llandudno but I'm not sure if this has been confirmed yet.
