I know that this is always being posted on here, but I used to use Zonealarm Firewall and AVG free stuff until I started getting serious problems with the PC. There may have been some conflict between the two or it may have been ZA that caused a 'loop' of some kind in the XP. I've heard that it's happened before
Can anyone recommend - for windows XP - a currently good combinataion of Firewall/Anti-virus/Anti spyware/malware?
Cheers

The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Yes - I found that AVG and Zone Alarm didn't always get along together.
About 1 year ago I switched on the XP firewall, and continued to use AVG, but discontinued using Zone Alarm. No problems so far! So perhaps that would be worthwhile trying out.0 -
XPs firewall is OK, especially if you have a hardware firewall in a router and run regular spyware checks.

windows firewall is useless, don't rely on that !!
Kerio firewall is free and gets updated, Sygate is good but no longer supported so no updates
