I have a braun one too and it's great, I actually found that the underarms were the least painful and had the best results! You can just sit in front of the tv doing your legs, I quite enjoy the pain - that's not good is it? :o

I have used an epilator for years, I have tried a few and prefer the braun. To start with they are painful but tell her to keep at it you do get used to them. Actually in time the hairs dont grow back anywhere near as much. I only have to epilate about once every 3 to 4 weeks now, Its one of my must haves, if it were to break it would be replaced straight away. Shaving just dosent feel comfortable anymore

I like my epilator. It is the cheapest Phillips model and came from Argos. I think it was £20 or £30. It might have been on sale possibly. I only do my legs with it as I find it too painful on underarms but it is very effective and the hairs are now less dense and take longer to grow back. I use one of those Silky Mitts emery paper things to take care of any hairs that snapped insted of being plucked in between and find that helps prevent ingrowing hairs too which are otherwise a problem. I find it is best to use it after a bath or shower on dried and talcum powdered legs.

Don't do it unless she's tried one already. Like post above, it will end up in the drawer. Treat her to a few waxing sessions, or buy a hot wax kit. It will be a waste of money....trust me!

Stick at it!!! It does hurt at first but then you're hooked. I also would not live without mine, I use mine weekly just for the few hairs that have grown and it doesn't hurt anymore.

To the op, I would recommended the Braun, if your wife is used to waxing, I can't see any problems for her and it will save money in the long run
