They were rushing me as they were soon to close, plus one of their guys loaded it with me so I didn't put each item in my vehicle. Plus I didn't think to check the boxes at the time as I was under the impression I had a lovely new bed which would be as dispatched from the factory within the boxing.0

Also, in relation to the described section 75 claim, i paid for the item on a visa debit card, rather than a credit card.0

Visa operate a very similar chargebeck system which IIRC has no lower boundry to claim.
However its not a legal obligation so i dont think the time scales are as strict. Still worth checking out if the shop are stalling.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Stand your ground with them.
My parents bought a new bed from them and they found it extremely uncomfortable. After two nights, springs started sticking through the fabric and it seemed like they hadn't been properly attached to each other inside.
My Mam went to the store and explained the bed was faulty and she would like a replacement. The manageress said there was nothing she could do as they had slept in the bed. My Mam explained she was rejecting it as faulty under the Sale of Goods Act, but she was told the Sale of Goods Act no longer applied as they had accepted the bed by sleeping in it! The manageress talked down to her and refused to believe my Mam was right.
She ended up going through head office and rejecting it for a full refund as she no longer wanted a replacement after the way the manageress dealt with her. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Customer service and the store are both refusing a refund for the product and won't even replace it for a new one. With no justification given.
Can anyone advise me on further steps to take? Or of the exact trading legislation they are breaching?0 -
Have you called your debit card company yet ?
I really think you need to speak to consumer direct / trading standards0 -

Ok, trading standards and consumer rights contacted, i have also looked into the small claims court and that seems like a solid case with all the evidence i have, and the complete lack of any evidence held by them.
I cant help but feel they are just pushing the matter as far as possible before legal procedings with the concept that most people will give up before it gets that far, because the way they run their company clearly indicates that repeat business is not a priority of theirs.0
