hi I have had advice, been strong then had have cold feet .Today I cancelled my direct debit to my DMP.I pay £32.50 a mth in fees for them to do that and over the past 4.5 yrs I have had the plan, must have paid them enough to pay a debt !! called Payplan & also National Debt line, both very helpful, both recommend BR , I will be in my late 70's if i continue at this rate. i feel like i am letting myself standards down and passing it on the debt to the places i ran up the debt.on the other hand ive read people are so relevied and for many (me included)be 1st time since i was 18 that i would be debt free.mum "e" to the most perfect girl :Awho stood by me through it all nana to my beautiful grandson WLM 27.09.13:j

Hello,I know it is difficult but keep trying to be strong... it will be worth it in the end.
Don't beat yourself up about it, you've really tried hard to pay back what you owe for so many years... you should feel no shame in taking an option the goverment has made available to people like us in order to start their life over again. You've been advised by two advisory services BR is the way to go, I hope you will find the courage to do it and begin your life afresh... we're all here to support you. Thinking of you,

So pleased you have contacted a debt charity and BR was recommended, as Lemon says we are all here to support you. If there's a query then do post on the BR board but here we can chat anytime your feeling down.
Best wishes
