if my son is claiming income support can he claim housing benefit while at college

my son who is 17 recently moved out and moved into this house which he is sharing, no rental contract or anything like that and he is claiming 50 pound a week income support and is starting college full time soon would he still be able to claim housing benefit as the person he is sharing house with is now asking for 50 a week in rent as he is hoping that he will be able to get ema also which is another question will he be able to claim income support aswell as ema and housing benefit too:(

    I think the correct question should be - can by son claim income support whilst he is at college and not estranged from his family

    If receiving DLA the full-time study is disregarded for the purposes of claiming.
