Is dla paid in arrears?

My dla is due to expire on the 29th of this month, i have just had my renewel turned down but wil be appealing, i was just wondering when my last payment will be made, i was last paid on the 21st of sept and im due to be paid again on the 19th of this month and the my award ends 10 days after that on the 29th, will my last payment be for thoose last 10 days or is dla paid in arrears ie i will recive another final payment after my next one?

    It is paid in arrears.

    So you will receive a normal 4 weekly payment on 19th October, then the 10 days payment sometime after 29th Oct.

    No.

    you will receive a normal 4 weekly payment on 19th October (for the 4 weeks upto 19th October) then the remaining 10 days payment sometime after 29th Oct.

    Personally I'd prefer a monthly option rather than 4weekly as everything else I have works that way. Any chance do you think? Doubt it but it would be so much easier on budgetting.
