The butchers in Mitchell Arcade has a really good reputation. I only get bones from them for my dog but its always queued out, my parents have used it as long as I can remember. Theres also a great butchers up in Burnside. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

I'm going to try that butcher's this weekend and will let everyone know. I know someone who gets their meat there and says it's great quality, but didn't mention the price.
I'm down Rutherglen often anyway - they have an Iceland which is good for freezer fillers.
