Simple answer is don't have extra cheese.
It's the same with anywhere though, if I order a pizza and ask for it without 1 of the toppings I don't expect my pizza to cost 20p less.

i was going to say ' don't have extra cheese' ha ha. i once asked for a bacon sandwich with nothing on it, meaning sauce, and when i got home found a dry roll! lol.0 -

OP, I hope you don't take this the wrong way - I enjoy the occasional McDonalds as much as anyone, but going in there for breakfast every day is really not that good for you.
As for the price, that's just the way of the world. I used to drink lager with lime in it, until I cottoned on to the fact that I was paying 30 or 40p for a dash of lime, which meant I was getting less lager! I decided to give up the lime and pay less for a full pint of actual beer instead.0
