Switching to online tariff with same provider - cashback

I am with NPower on their standard tariff but am interested in switching to their online tariff which is much cheaper. Does anyone know if i can still achieve the cashback from the likes of Moneysupermarket (£30) or Uswitch if i use the appropriate links even though i am not actually changing provider?

If you insert your correct current tariff when doing the comparison, the site will inform you if they are prepared to do the deal through them. If they do, they will presumably pay out.

I suspect they probably won't allow transfers of tariff to the same supplier
