Received first neutral

I have been selling a few things on ebay, currently have 200+ positive feedback and always try to resolve any issues.

Sold something a few days ago, buyer had less than 10 feedback and was already chasing postage the first day after selling - so started to think they might be a problem.

Today I have received neutral feedback saying that the item works but has a strange smell. They didn't contact me before hand and now I am not sure what to do - do I contact them privately or just respond to feedback. I didn't ever notice a smell but haven't used it for a while.

What should I do next??

Personally I would leave it, a neutral isn't that much of a worry. However I would check your expanded seller dashboard, a single 1 or 2 * left can be a problem.

Thanks, yes I was thinking along those lines as the item is quite heavy to post - it already cost me more than I thought.

I have checked my low scores and have 1 in each category but they are not from this sale, so don't know what thats from!

I guess I will just have to live with it for 12 months -I really want to reply but I think it may cause more problems than it solves.

    I wouldnt worry

I got the same from a buyer who didnt contact me but left me neutral for 2 items - 1 which she admitted was fine but the other one had part of the packaging ripped when the postie shoved it through the letterbox!! How that is my fault i dont know!

Dont worry about it OP - noone is going to worry about a neutral and you'll still have 100% positive

Everyone buying on eBay knows that not everyone buying on eBay is honest. Don't worry, a neutral still shows as 100% feedback - it's no big deal.
