I have come across some houses in the region where torrington av meets station av/cromwell lane. I have heard bad publicity about tile hill but being a few times around seem alright. If any one has knowledge of tile hill/areas to avoid in tile hill, I would appreciate comments. Thanks in advance.

Even the students at Warwick don't want to live there - think that gives a hint at the area.0

“I have heard bad publicity…”
Well, no smoke without fire. If you’ve heard it’s bad then it probably is.
Couldn’t find any figures specifically for Tile Hill as such but crime, poverty, ethnicity etc figures for Coventry and the postcode CV4 are available on various websites such as :
http://www.neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/dissemination/
http://maps.police.uk/
Crime in CV4 (Coventry)
Based on the police recorded crime reports (for the financial year 2007/8) Mouseprice ranks Coventry at number 325 out of the 373 CDRPs (Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships). The higher the rank, the worse the level of crime.

Perhaps have a wander round at night, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights as these tend to be peak time for the gangs and thugs to be visible, and see what you think. But, of course, if it’s a ghetto then perhaps be careful you don’t get mugged or beaten up!
And the Coventry Evening Telegraph has lots of reports of crime in Tile Hill.
Hope this is of use. Good luck.0
