Hi all, I got some help on here before from some good people,Im hoping for some again.I have a dell xp com and for quite a while now I have been having the same problem. When I send something to the printer it will usually work but then after 2 or 3 things it wont even start to print. The box for what is in the queue will say an item is waiting to print but it wont.I then try to delete the item and it wont delete,I have found that the only way to get it working again is to turn the com off then the power,It doesnt work just by rebooting then when I turn it on again anything still in the print queue will start to print its self right away until the next time it decides to stop working.I thought it was the printer itself so I bought a new HP C4780 but its still doing the same, can anyone offer some thoughts please?thanks.
counting down the time I got left.:beer:

starting and stopping the spooler service might help when they get stuck, could be a usb problem possibly!!

are you running it via a hub for the printer? If so assign it an ip for the printer0

I've seen this issue before a quicker way than rebooting was to unplug the printer then plug it back in does that solve the problem, if so I suspect a driver issue. I did fix it... if unplugging works then would strongly suspect a driver issue.jakswan .co. uk Just me droning on about Gadgets and the Wife, two kids, massive mortgage, yes it is boring:p0
