Repartitioning my hard drives

I have a laptop with a 40GB hard drive, split into c and d drives. I run XP.

My c drive is almost full, but d still has 20gb untouched.

How can I use d drive?

As a naturally, very unorganised person. I used to have files everywhere until I had a partioned drive.

I would recommend using c drive for programes & internet & d drive for files & folders & back up with externally.

I find using Windows in this way works well, as it keeps c free from clutter, so it works well & your files & folders are within easy reach if needed, but not hanging around.

One thing to watch is depending on laptop it might have recovery information stored on a hidden partition... Make sure you dont delete this or you wont be able to restore your laptop if anything happens
