With reference to the above comp that is being run through Grazia mag, just a word of warning to anyone else who entered. The closing date for the comp is today.

I have received a call this morning from SK:N offering me the free trial at my nearest SK:N clinic. They are not announcing a winner until 31st October AND your free trial has to be taken before 31st October. Not only that, even though your free trial is free, they still require to take your credit card details, before you go for your appointment.

Needless to say I will not be leaving my card details so will not be able to go for my free trial.

It did state that you would be called when you entered the competition, which is why my mobile is off, not really interested in the free consultation as it's usually one of those 'now you're here lets part you with some cash' kinda deals.

they called me yesterday and asked if i was interested but i said if i win the competition i will be otherwise sorry

They didn't ask me for any card details and the lady was very helpful on the phone in regards to directions. They said that the consultation is complusory to ensure you have no allergic reactions to the treatment.

The lady who phoned me was lovely. I told her I was blonde and that was that! She did say that if I win I MAY be able to transfer to another treatment - or pass it onto someone with dark hair ...

Following on from the above call and posts from others (see htread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2777740) that they have not been asked for their credit card details I emailed sk:n and received the following reply:

I have spoken to my team leader in relation to Grazia Competition entries being booked with out card details.

It has been confirmed no consultation should of been booked without credit or debit card details, there are occasions if a client agrees to call back with them we will temporary leave the appointment on the system.

Sadly there are occasions where potential clients do not use debit/credit cards or are unhappy giving them over the phone in this case we would usually advise them they can book directly with their chosen clinic and a £25.00 deposit will be requested or they can leave their card details at that time.

Taking credit/debit card details to secure all new appointments has been SKN company policy for a number of years and works well in avoiding a high a cancellation rate.
