Just received a call from SKN after entering this comp. You have to have your trial before 31st October and although this is free, they do require you to give credit card details before you go.

Needless to say I did not leave my credit card details!

That's weird. They phoned me and I have an appointment without any credit card details. They were very helpful with directions and didn't ask for anything. Guess I will turn up in a weeks time and if they ask for my card details I will refuse. Thank you for the heads up sugarbabe :)
Thank you to all of the posters for their hard work!

Mmmm really strange. The lady was really nice and pleasant and explained all the criteria ie cannot remove fair/blonde hair, cannot be pregnant etc. She also explained my nearest clinic.

I had said I would book for next Saturday and that is when she said before she books she needs to take my credit card details.

She did send me an email with a map of my nearest clinic.

The other thing I thought strange was that although the comp closes today, she said they are not drawing a winner until 31st October which is when all the trials have to be carried out by. So, the sceptic in me thinks they will only draw a winner for the £1,000 prize after they have seen us all and will probably pick someone who needs very little treatment.

  • I got a phone call today from a lovely lady saying that I would need to go for a consultation to be eligible for the prize draw. She stated what the criteria was e.g not fair/grey hair, not pregnant or breastfeeding and not suntanned or wearing fake tan. I have booked in for my free consultation on friday she didn't need to take credit card details though I wouldn't have given them if she had asked.
I hope it goes okay I've never had laser hair removal done before!:)

I don't see how that would work. Unless somebody looks like a werewolf I can't see how they can tell on sight how the hair will respond to treatment - i.e how many sessions somebody would need.

Three courses of treatment is three courses of treatment with a set number of sessions I think. Some people will need more sessions on an area than others, but other people can surely use the remaining sessions on other areas of their body.

Plus, a session only covers a tiny area of your body - 8 sessions would just about do your upper lip so it's hard to imagine somebody wouldn't be able to use £1,000 worth.

I just had a consultation there last week for some laser hair removal and it seemed pretty legit to me. Maybe they want to have the consultation first because some people aren't suitable to have it.

The consultation is fine - I had mine last week - they just ask you a few questions and if you're happy to proceed they do a test patch.

When I was originally organising my consultation I had to cancel and called back to arrange later. Only some of the consultants ask for your credit card details - others don't seem to bother so it's a bit hit and miss.

I think they ask for credit card details as they have a lot of no-shows so will charge you for the consultation if you don't show up.

I am paying for my treatment with my Tesco Clubcard vouchers as I've accumulated a lot of points through this site but didn't have much else to spend them on!

The woman who called me didn't mention any details, just seemed keen for me to agree to have the consultation.
I explained that I was recently made redundant so simply can't afford it and that's why I entered the competition
I said I'd book a consultation if I won - she seemed ok with this
To be honest, she wasn't too pushy at all, and was very polite
