I'm looking at the Melia Sinai myself, HB at start of November - it's got some quite good reviews on tripadvisor but may be too far out for you. Worth a look though

Its my nephew that came back (27th Sept) he was very ill with a tummy bug and nearly everyone he spoke to had the same trouble.
He went with his G/F who didnt have any trouble with her tummy.
He did say the hotel was very clean but the food was often cold or luke warm.
I know its a major problem in Egypt and most hotels have trouble from time to time but for 2/3rds of the hotel to go down with tummy troubles I dont think I would risk it.
I have been looking at the Sheraton Soma Bay on AI and booking direct with the hotel and BA flights its working out to around £1000 in a suite (resort view much cheaper) and I have never read anything about the hotel having a problem with the food or people with tummy troubles which is a big point for me because I tend to suffer anyway like that when I am away
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
