Recovery of Award for Housing Benefit

Hi, i'm not sure if i'm in the right section here, but basically we were overpaid Housing Benefit last year by £1,218 and we have received a Recovery of Award letter this morning regarding the outstanding amount, however they are saying we owe £12,761.17 Basically I've checked our account online and it says £1,218 plus £57 costs, so i am assuming they have inputed the outstanding amount on the form incorrectly. Can i just ring them on Monday morning to get the amount corrected? it says there was a hearing on Monday 4th Oct but we never received any documents asking us to appear?

Sounds like someone's put the decimal point in the wrong place!0

Certainly worth telling them.
you should always challenge/break it down when someone says you owe them money.
