Hi all,
Please can someone suggest the best card in my case as I can't work out what seems to be the best.
Here's the scenario:
I'll need it to pay car insurance mid November - approx £300
Also for a work trip on a couple of weeks in November to the continent where I would have to pay for travel, hotels etc. On that part it would need to work well in Germany.
For car insurance I don't think Amex is an option, I'd have to pay with one of the following: Visa Delta Matercard Switch Solo
I'd be able to reclaim work expenses within a month to pay that part off but the car insurance would be ideally paid off monthly, say £50 a month over 6 months.
So I wouldn't be clearing the balance in full every month.
Can anyone recommend a really good card with cashback/points etc with interest free on Visa? I know there are many deals for 0% interest but my key plan is to find one with as much cashback etc as possible...
Any help or advice very much appreciated...

I think I've worked out my best two options are the Tesco or Sainsburys cards. I'm never sure though which is better to have out of nectar points and clubcard points. I shop at Sainsburys a lot more than Tescos now but was only intending to use the card for the car insurance and work trip and not for regular shopping so in that case would the Tesco one be more rewarding with the clubcard points than having the nectar points?0

Just found something else I'm considering now...
The Post Office credit card through TopCashback gets £18 cashback and no commission on overseas purchases? Does that sound good?
It's 0% on purchases for 3 months so does that mean if I make all my purchases within the first 3 months (e.g. all in November) then pay it off by at least the minimum monthly payment then there'd be no interest?0 -
Using two cards could be helpful.
First, Halifax Reward Clarity Card, for spending overseas and spending £300 per month (to get £5 reward p/m) - always clear this in full. For that you need a Halifax current account.
Secondly a card with 0% on purchases, eg Tesco. For all UK expenditure over £300 p/m.0 -

The Post Office card looks appealing with £18 cashback if approved online but if it's 0% interest for 3 months on purchases does that mean that as long as all purchases are made within that 3 months I could then pay the card off by at least the minimum payment over a longer period than 3 months interest free?0 -
I just got the Amex cash back card (5% on 1st 2k spend in 1st 3mths) then up to 1.5% on the rest provided spend 3k, with 6 months 0% on purchases. Assuming it is still available...?0
