Credit Report query

Hi all, I hope i am posting this in the correct thread.

I have just got an updated copy of my credit report with equifax and everything seems to be ok apart from one thing in the previous searches bit. I posted in another thread earlier this year about recieving a letter from Mackenzie Hall debt collection agency and wrote the 'prove it' letter as directed. I haven't heard anything back from them but it now shows up on my report with the reason for the search as 'outstanding debt'. The debt they're chasing isn't mine and i'll be seriously hacked off if they have ruined my delicate credit rating that i have worked so hard to improve.

My query is, does this show up to lenders and if so what can i do about it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My advice is to pay £2.
You can be on the phone a long time waiting to cancel and/or forget/not do it in time and get charged a lot more than £2.

To be fair of lot of the complaints I seen have been aimed more towards Equifax than Experian, but if you do the free trial you MUST cancel on time otherwise you face much higher charges.

I just advise people to pay £2 as it's a lot less hassle in my opinion to save such a small amount.

I have paid the £2, it's just i have to wait for them to send me an access code to view my report which takes around 4 days, that why i have to wait. Sorry for any confusion.
