Income Protection Clause Query

Hi

Hope someone maybe able to help me with a question or perhaps just shed a little light on a clause my friend has on a clause in their insurance

it reads

" This policy does not cover any period of unemployment which results from you voluntarily leaving your employment unless as a result of constructive dismissal"

My friend works in Sales and has not reached his sales targets and has been told if does attain the target will be dismissed. Has worked for company for 5 years.

The question is does this come under the above clause as we ave been discussing this. If anyone could help in any way I would be really grateful

Dismissal due to failure to hit laid down performance targets is often NOT covered.

Person needs to ensure that the correct procedures are used in setting and measuring performance in line with the positions terms/conditions, and that all assitance is received in helping them hit targets.
