black horse car ppi

Please help, I applied to black horse to claim back the ppi that came with the finance agreement for my car 5 years ago. first they claimed i did not have insurance on my loan until i requested the documents under freedom of information. then they agreed i had it. i received a letter today claiming that they have forwarded the claim to the dealership as they sold the ppi and not blackhorse although the payment was always taken by black horse at the same time as the loan amount. is this right or are black horse trying to wriggle out of this?

    Hi and welcome

    That is correct.
Whoever set up and sold your policy is the ones you pursue, so its them you go to.
I would contact that business just to make sure they have received your reclaim, they have 8 weeks to give a decision.

Even though the repayments are debited from BH, its however arranged the policy who are responsible, hope this helps, good luck with this.

We had a car from black horse who lloyds sorted and added ppi. we wrote to blackhorse who ignored us so wrote to lloyds who said it was down to direct cars. after months of passing the book it is now waiting for the ombudsmen who are pursuing the underwriters which is lloyds tsb. not holding much hope though but worth the try!
