Virgin CC Positive Balance

Hey all
I have ended up with a positive balance of just over £500 on my Virgin CC. This is due to me BTing the outstanding balance at end of 0% period but also having a refund on a product I purchased which was faulty (refund =£500).
What is the best way to get the £500?
- I can transfer money into my current account for a 4% charge.
- Withdraw cash from CC at 2.0751% (according to the charges page) but would need to check T&C's to see if there is an additional charge.
- I am looking to close the CC so could I tell Virgin this and ask for the £500 to be transfered by cheque/into my account free of charge this way?
Thanks in advance
x

Or....you could keep the card for now and use it for spending instead of your current account. There will be no charges for purchases so just wait until you've spent the £500 then close it?0

Three real, use the card and spend £500, but If that is likely to take you a while then use the option of closing the card and requesting a refund from MBNA or withdraw the cash from a machine. You shouldn't get charged interest as it's your money, however you'll probably get charged a cash withdrawl fee of approx £3.0

Just phone them and say you have accidentally ended up in credit and that you want to close the account. They will refund you free of charge. I did this before with my Virgin credit card and it was fine. I was only £25 in credit, but I reckon the same rules would apply to you.0

Due to an error with a BT yesterday I too will find myself in credit on Virgin CC by £800! i have just contacted them and they have said they will transfer money into current account free of charge
Albeit i have to wait 2 weeks for the transfer to complete before i can get my money back!0
