quote for en-suite

we have an existing en-suite which has a sink and toliet we would like to put a shower in there, take down existing tiles and skim walls, put in a vanity sink, move existing toliet, put mermaid boards behind the shower - we have had the folllwoing quote and being new to this wondered if thiswas a fair price please?

the size of the room is 1m x 1.8m

1) Removal of existing basin and wall tiles
2) Alterations to wc and basin wastes, new waste for the shower
3) Alterations to water feeds to wc and basin, new hot and cold feeds for the new shower.
4) Installing laminate flooring
5) Skimming the walls
6) Moving the light switch to an external position
7) Work for new combined extractor/spot light.
8) Installing wc, basin with tap, shower enclosure, wet wall panels and shower.
9) Tiling on window cil and behind the basin
10 Painting ceiling and walls
11) Fit new skirting board and paint
12) Removal of the waste materials from the property


Total cost £1100.00 plus vat

    Seems OK as writ to me but then again I haven't seen the job. Make sure he has a waste carriers licence for item 12. If he hasn't you are liable if he gets stopped by the envirostasi or it gets disposed of inappropriately.

    Assuming that's labour only it seems reasonable. If he's supplying anything in that quote it's very cheap.

    Is he doing the electrical work himself? If he is will it be certified?
