Actually, I think my 0.75 factor is about right. I don't earn a million miles off £38K and take home is also not a million miles away from £2100. But I pay pension contributions.

Thank you Tom. I pay pension contributions too (LGPS).

Thanks everyone, I have a pretty good idea of how much one takes home at £38,000. Now one hopes to get a lucky break :p

You mean no one is trying to set you up with themselves? How very odd! :rotfl:

    Moozie,

For info, my take home pay for £37K in August was £2,254 and now it's £39K, the take home is £2,382, so for £38K, I reckon around the £2,300 mark. I don't get anything (other than standard tax and NI) taken out at source.

    Hope that helps.
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

    Hey Ali_OK

Firstly congrats on the payrise! :T

Secondly, thanks very much for the figures, very helpful. Sadly, I have £350 deducted on top of tax and NI for pension and train ticket but at least I now have a better idea of the actual figures.

    Many thanks
