Hello there
Does anyone have the links for any websites that work out what the take home pay is after tax and national insurance please?
Alternatively, can anyone tell me how much does one takes home, approximately, when on £38,000 a year?
I am just looking at various opportunities that may be coming up and [STRIKE]dreaming[/STRIKE] planning
Thank you!
Moozie x

A quick method is to multiply gross salary by 0.75 and this seems to work very well.
£38,000 x 0.75 / 12 = £2375.
Actually, it'll be closer to £2200 than that.Happy chappy0 -
I am confused tom, please could you look at it again? It's the £175 reduction that threw me

Actually, I think my 0.75 factor is about right. I don't earn a million miles off £38K and take home is also not a million miles away from £2100. But I pay pension contributions.Happy chappy0
