Funding Lloyds 8% regular saver

I've read on this board that you don't need to fund the Lloyds regular saver through a Lloyds current account. Lloyds maintain that you do. Is anyone actually funding NOT via a Lloyds current account?
I'm trying not to loose interest by doing multiple transfers and my feeder account is better than the Lloyds current accounts on offer.
Thanks in advance

To qualify for the Monthly saver you have to have a LTSB current account.
If you so wish to use another bank account to feed it so be it.0 -
That seems to be the consensus BUT has anyone actually done it????0
