with my £3600 HSBC isa just matured and ive already taken this years isa. Where can i put this without locking away for more than a year. I can put it straight into 1 year fixed bond at 3%. Or?? any simple ideas for a newbie?

It's still a cash ISA.

Transfer it to Haifax for 2.8% tax free.

Hopefully, you haven't withdrawn the matured funds, or they will have lost their ISA status.

If they are still in the HSBC ISA account, as opinions4u says, the ISA can be transferred (by choosing a new ISA provider and completing their ISA transfer form) to any new provider that offers the best rate for your needs - whether an easy access Cash ISA, like the Halifax one, or a fixed rate one (Barnsley Building Society offers 3% until 31/12/2011.)
