opinions / advice on treatments for oak skirting

I've had an engineered oak floor fiitted (B&Q oak life bevel) I also decided on oak skirting which has all been fitted too.
It needs some form of treatment I was thinking maybe wax but tbh i'm clueless.
Could anyone give me some advice and opinions on what would be the best and least messy please, way of treating the skirting. I'm not looking to stain it in anyway I like the natrual colour.

I've used Osmo Polyx oil or Sikkens Cetol Plus clear varnish. Also just tried Liberon Finishing Oil on some oak today. None of them add colour, they just bring out the natural colour of the oak so the end colour of all of them is very very similar.
I would say the Liberon was the easiet to use, just wipe on with a lint free cloth.Herman - MP for all!

I'd go with the oil suggestion, Danish Oil would also do the trick.
I do use Liberon products on my decking and rate them very highly indeed.0 -

Here's one place that sells it, it's also on eBay. We're in the Highlands which attracts a premium delivery charge, I found a huge variation in prices for this stuff so do a search so see what's cheapest for you.Herman - MP for all!
