any recommendations for a betting bank account?

want a new one to use for online bookmakers, with visa debit, it will probably have between £0-1000 in at any one time, but there will not be a regular income like a lot of the suggested accounts on the guide. also i will not be going overdrawn at all.

any ideas? i already have a natwest current account and a santander one.

  • I would suggest a basic account with a debit card far far away from your main bankers.
Betting will make you high risk should you ever want to borrow.

    HSBC

For some weird reason withdrawals enter the HSBC account WAY quicker than my other bank accounts - Even on a Monday when I withdraw on a Saturday which is unheard of with LLOYDS or BARCLAYS

Are they happy with betting on their accounts then.
  • No bank minds betting transactions at all. think if you show a loss however they may look at it badly in terms of mortgage applications etc but thats obvious

I bet £3000+ / week and use Lloyds TSB. They've locked my account about 3 times in a couple of years due to £1000+ deposits into bookies in Matla/Balkans but you simply get a phone call in the morning from their fraud dept. to check the transactions and then they free your account up.

The bank seem to have no issue whatsoever with my betting patterns although chatting to the ladies on the counter when she has to look back over 10 pages for the last months transactions when you have a query can be rather amusing.

If you are not in the red, your bank will love you regardless of what you are doing.
