AVG Update failed

Hi all,

I am using AVG fee and when I updated today I keep getting:-


Update failed. A.bin file is missing.


Anyone know if I should do anything or why this is happening?

Personally I'd take it as a message from above and uninstall it and install a better AV, like Avast.

Yes i say the same,get rid of it.Try Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials as your anti virus.

Avg free users get the daily updates way after the paid versions.Avast ,it doesnt matter if you have paid or free you get the updates at the same time.

Hated AVG when i used it years ago.Moore trouble than what its worth and it seems to have got worse now.

I use MSE.

Install either avast/avira/mse and also malwarebytes.

yep remove AVG its gone downhill, resource hogging and poor detection rate. Avast, or Microsoft security essentials is the best thing to do.

If you want to stay with avg the update will work correctly now. I had the same problem.

Id get rid of avg and replace it with avast or avira or mse
