New to this marriage lark. Can I claim JSA (income based)?

Hi there, I returned to the UK in June from working abroad and have married. My husband will be 65 in November and has recently finished working a short contract here. He's looking for more work and intends to resume claiming pension credit in the meantime (he has claimed it intermittently in the last 4 years as his work has also been intermittent).
I am 50 and currently looking for work. I haven't claimed any benefits yet, though I need to get my act together soon, as I have no income.
So far as I can tell from online benefits advice, my husband can claim pension credit as a married man, which will be paid to him. Or we can claim income based JSA as a couple - not sure who it would be paid to. But I can't find any information on whether my husband can claim pension credit (to be paid to him) while I claim JSA (paid to me).
Does anyone know?

How long were you working abroad? If you have not been working/paying tax in the UK for the last couple of years - are you entitled to claim any benefits???0 -
you cannot claim IB Jsa and he claim Pension credit it at the same time, both are means tested benefits and you cannot have both its one or the other, as to your eligabilty is another matter. if you have no entitlement to claim UK benefits then your husband will be treated as a single person for pension credit puproses0

Pension credit would be too much for you to claim income based JSA.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
