My 16 year old SIL who is still at school wants to get a job
her mum (who she lives with) is on income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, child tax credits and child benefit wil my SIL working impact upon her benefits???

The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

As long as she is still in full time education or full time further education(not advanced education i.e. uni)then as long as she works less than 24 hours a week the answer is no0

Well done to your SIL for working for money, makes a change from those who come on these boards asking questions about how much maximum benefit they can have by not working :TBe happy, it's the greatest wealth

the majority of people ask for genuine help in a system where there is little help avaliable,a situation that will only imho worsen0
