Whistleblowers'/Insiders' Forum?

I just know I can't be the first to suggest this. Indeed I believe I've seen references to the possibility on various individual threads.

Would it not be possible to have a forum dedicated to 'inside information' - little, juicy tidbits of stuff, ranging from when LUDL is going to have its next 'half price on all fruit and veg' to the new rate at which Bridford & Bangley's ISA is about to be set?

Possibly this would be opening the floodgates to libel, red herrings and publicity seeking. Nevertheless I'd like the chance at least to assess the info and take what risks I deem acceptable.

    Hello LizEstelle

Have you seen the thread started by MSE Martin 'GREAT "WHAT SHOPS DON'T WANT US TO KNOW" HUNT'.........which is in the 'Shop but don't drop' board?

I think the thread might be what you're looking for.;)

Ok thanks for that. I'll give it the once over.

Not sure what it'll say but I would have thought this kind of thing rated its own forum or suchlike!

Right. I've had a quick glance and it seems to be quite good but orientated, for obvious reasons, towards shops and their various deals. Can't see much happening in services and finance there but, ok, I haven't been able to read through it all.

Also, since it's only one thread, all of the various items are mixed together and it's difficult to follow the 'progress' of any one theme.

If only for the latter reason, wouldn't it be better to have a forum just for this where each 'whistleblowing' could have its own thread?

    You know, a la freebies.
