No matter how many times I delete Quick time from my start-up box it somehow reinstalls itself. Is there a way to stop this happening.

Have you done it through the msconfig menu? That's the way I do it. Select start up and untick the box(es) relating to QT.0

I know the heading is Quick time but your response was super quick time.
I have been doing it through CCleaner, but will now try going directly to msconfig and see if that will work.Change is here to stay0 -
[STRIKE]Or use ccleaner tools startup. However don't be tempted to use the rest of the valued tools in ccleaner if you are not sure what they do. Come back to the forum and ask first. To get ccleaner go to
www.piriform.com and download it there. (its free of course)[/STRIKE]4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

Whoops ignore my last post then, but why not just install it completely. It will have put filetype associations etc on you pc which if you open quick time it will re-insert itself on to start-up4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Sorry, I dont understand, surely if it is in the start-up menu it is installed but if disabled would not automatically run at start-up. Am I missing something, sorry to appear thick.debitcardmayhem wrote: »Whoops ignore my last post then, but why not just install it completely. I assume this is the small 'Q' icon by the clock? You may need to do this through the Quicktime application itself.
- Right click on the 'Q' icon in the SysTray (by the clock) and select Preferences. You should have the Quicktime Preferences window now showing.
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Remove the checkmark (tick) from the bottom of the screen where it says "Install Quicktime icon in system tray"
