Two sites I use most often
snapfiles
Portable Freeware
Snapfiles check that the downloads have no spyware
Portable Freeware checks what downloads do and where it writes its settings to (and by doing that they would also find spyware)
Lifehacker is also excellent. They have a 'Download of the Day' where they feature a lot of great software (they also test for spyware etc)0
