Hi OP this is because your postage and packing DSR is only 4.4 I advise adding the cost of postage to your starting price on your auctions for a while at least and making your items free post and packing.
This way not only will all of your listings get a small boost in the searches but also you will get an automatic 5 stars on your post and packing DSR while it is free to your buyers.
  • Crikey! 4.4 out of 5 doesn't seem very low?

Anything under 4.6 is classed as below standard on ebay.

On ebay it is actually very poor, enough to put people of buying anyway.

Stars are king on ebay, most people aim at a minimum of 4.8 and would panic if they drop to even 4.7.

Me included I aim at 4.9 and would panic if my stars hit 4.8 as this would mean I would be at risk of losing my top rated seller status.

but would you expect items that you had paid to list not be seen in searches?
  • No - unless they refund you some of the fees.

They are not providing the service you are paying for (in my opinion).

They are still seen in searches especially if anyone does 'ending sonnest' it's only best match that you suffer in.

If you are not selling then it is almost certainly your stars putting people off. I would hesitate to buy from anyone at 4.4.

thank you harry i thought i was going mad they have taken my money to list my items e.g if i put green silk tie with red dots for sale if i was a customer looking for A TIE in a general search my tie must be 1 of the 50,000 ties listed that is not too much to ask for.
then if someone searched GREEN TIE i would expect my item to be seen MY ITEM ISN'T BEING SEEN.
if someone searched GREEN SILK TIE i would expect my item to be found in searches it is not.
my item is only being seen if someone puts green silk tie with red dots.
and i am paying same price as everyone else.
auctions are open to all and so should my listings not withold them

Yes but if you did a specific search for green silk tie, and you had listed your item as green tie it would not be shown.

You have added a word into your search that is not in your title, I don't know how to say it any simpler than that.
