in Credit cards
Right... first post so be gentle,
About 7 months ago i took an offer on Quidco for a Capital One credit card. I was planning on just using until the cashback came through but then decided it would be good to start building some good credit history. Ive had it for about 8 months and have paid the balance off in full every month, average spend is around £350-£400.
Had one credit limit increase after 3 months from £1000 to £1500 almost asked them to reduce it back but read somewhere this doesnt look good on any credit searches? not sure if thats true?
Anyway basically I want to switch from my Capital One card to the Play.com MBNA card so I can earn the play.com vouchers, but dont know the best way to do it? Should I cancel the Capital One and apply for the Play.com one or just apply for the play.com one while I have the capital one card and then cancel it afterwards?
Around 3 months before I got my Capital One card I was rejected from the Play.com card, this was I assume because I had no/very little credit history.
Thanks in advance for any helpful posts

If you are going to apply would be best to show some active accounts. You'll need a spotless credit file for the last 6 years, especially with MBNA.....the worse they can say is "no" again.0
