I am so ripping mad. Last friday my purse was stolen thankfully with no cash but all my cards were in it. I phone Lloyds where my current account is to block my debit card and have a new one sent out!!!!!
So having gone through my details and telling me my card was blocked and new one would be dispatched in 3-5 working days he mithered about telephone banking.
So 1 week later no card. having been so been absolutely desperate for it because of bills and borrowing money off family as not been able to get to the bank because of work I phone up.
The stupid idiot of a man had done the telephone banking rubbish but not ordered the card.............then I find out he's not even blocked it.
I am so so mad and all they offer is an apology. I feel so let down.

I've just got to wait another 3-5 days again. Such a nightmare with out my card,
I can't get over the fact the man was pushing other products so hard he didn't even remember to block it. I hadn't realised just how shoddy lloyds tsb had become:(0 -
Ooh, nkyher. Exactly the same thing happened to me with Lloyds. My card was used in a cashpoint (by me) that they found out to have a card reader in it. They phoned me to tell me this, and advised they'd cancel the card and issue a new one which would take 3-5 days. Not a problem. I was quite relieved they'd spotted it and dealt with it to be honest so I happily destroyed my card and waited for the new one.
They didn't cancel the card, nor issue a new one. I phoned a week later. Without even checking (I assume) the girl just rattled off "Oh, yeah, it's not 3-5 days. It's 7-10". Fine. Not great but I'll live with it. Waited another few days, no card. I phoned up again. "Oh," he says "your card's not been cancelled, nor a new one issued". I could have continuing using it! Instead I'd been going into the bank to withdraw cash, which isn't particularly convenient and once you're in front of them they always try to flog you stuff like insurance!
Perhaps it was the same bloke and perhaps it's a deliberate ploy to get you into the branch so they can try to sell !!!!!!!

I am getting so annoyed with LTSB every time I go into the branch or use telephone banking that they try to sell me their insurance or make appointment to see financial adviser because I may not be making best use of my money.
My money is where it is because that is where I want it to be.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Write a letter of complaint, stating your disappointment and expectation of an apology. If they don't send you a written apology, why not switch accounts, hopefully taking advantage of some sort of reward scheme for opening a new account?0

One way to get them off ya back is to lose your job and start claiming benefits, then they take away your overdraft without warning you and charge you when you go overdrawn by like £10, oh and suddenly all those calls and letters to try and get you to sign up to credit cards and loans stop.
I moaned to a guy on the phone about it when fighting to get my charge back because i hadn't even realised they had got rid of my overdraft and he said 'no no your a loyal customer' , yeah right....i asked where my charges went? into the bosses pocket for his Xmas bonus no doubt, oh no he told me, our boss didn't take his bonus last year lol!!
These guys must have a cribsheet infront of them telling them what to say when people moan about stuff....they do my head in!0 -
I have to say that I have always found Lloyds to be excellent for me. I had to go in last Saturday to change our address, and the woman I spoke to was brilliant. She was very efficient, changed all our accounts - including the kids Young Savers which have always been a problem in the past, sorted out a problem with out house insurance (we were already with Lloyds, but she changed it to make it cheaper for us). She couldn't finish the query as the insurance line was busy, so phoned me on the Monday to confirm it was all sorted, and gave me her mobile number in case I had any further queries.
At no time did she try to sell us anything or make us see their financial advisor - she actually said that looking at our records we managed our accounts very well!!
So, I can only say that my local Lloyds gets 10 out of 10 for service
Edited to add that I definitely dont work for them!Don't Panic - and carry a towel

I do find their constant sales pitch when you go into branch, highly annoying. If I want something, I will ask.....but generally Lloyds, if I am not using you for something, it is because you are not offering a good deal!!!0

I got so fed up with their sales pitches and phone calls to me at work that I changed banks.
After that I used to pay my husband's bills over the counter at Lloyds in my lunchbreak and the cashiers used to try to sel me financial products. I always pointed out that they shouldn't be taking to me about my husband's account but they didn't seem to care.
In the end I fired off a letter to the manager, got a written apology and a phone call from her. I'd never go back to banking with them ......0
