Is this the 0% for 5 months with a 2.5% uncapped BT fee anniversary offer?greendale9061 wrote:In Feb I gonna put the rest back on my egg for 0% for 6 months.0 -
Ive just looked onto the m&s website now. Your right it does say no fee. In my contract it states 2%. Im gonna take this up with them. I have attached the bit thats says it on the website.
Enjoy 0% interest on all shopping everywhere for 12 months from date of account opening
Transfer your balance from any credit or store card within 6 months of account opening, and we will fix your rate at just 3.9% p.a. for the life of the balance, however long it takes to clear. Plus we won't charge a fee to transfer to your &MORE Credit Card. Typical 16.9% APR (variable)0 -

I was just going to apply for this card, but upon reading the small print i discovered that the mininum payment is 3% of balance or £5 whichever is greater. I owe £3000, at the moment I'm being robbed for approx £60 per month ( with Lloyds tsb Platinum). If i chose M & S card my minimum repayment would be £90 per month. I know that i would be paying the balance off a lot faster, I'm just warning people not to assume the payment percentage will be the same and you're ammount payable each month will drop. Please advise me if I am wrong... The Barclays Flex and Go ? or whatever is charged at 2.25% of balance.0

Afternoon all!
From what I gather it's fee free BT for the first 6 months, then after that the 2% comes in.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

In this case your paying a 2% fee now for a life of balance (never pay the fee again) and your going to give thsi up for a another Fee and only 5 months interest free before going back to 16% .... think long and hard about this ... 3.9 for LIFE ..... or 2% fee plus normal payments every few months ???greendale9061 wrote:

Hey Roswell,
Im gonna stick with m&s - well when they decided to give me the BT fee free. Gonna ring them up 2moz to complain. As you can c im a newbie, so at the min im just rushing into thing to try to sort out my debt problem (before I get too bogged down with uni work) without thinking long and hard about it. Im a typical student that just doesn't know when to say no to the non essentails (mainly socializing)
Thanks for the advise. :beer:0 -
Hey thanks for thtis what a useful thread. I have also got my paperwork and intended to transfer debt to the m&s card which I understood to be fee free. I will be checking with them tomorrow also as the 2% fee query is still not totally clear to me.0

I've just called up and transferred 2 balances across, confirmed 3.9% LOB with NO FEE, he said they do not charge a fee on transfers. Have screenshot of website anyway as it shows fee free, so like to see them get out of that one. I don't expect any hassles though.

it does state that if there is a fee they have to tell you before you make the balance transfer so if the person did not tell you there was a fee, there isnt.what is the plural of moose?
