Apologies if this should be somewhere else. Please move as appropriate. Is this eBay ad legal?

Basically the guy sounds like he clamps cars on private land and then if they can't or won't pay he takes cars and sells them to recover the 'debt'. Sounds like a really nice gentleman anyway  but I didn't think 'fines' on private land were enforceable, nevermind having your car sold to pay it. I may have the wrong end of the stick

;) Better to say nothing and look a fool than to speak and remove all doubt :D

This from the T&C of the sale:
THIS CAR WILL HAVE TO BE PICKED UP WITHIN 72HOURS AFTER AUCTION WILL END.. IF AFTER 72HOURS, STORAGE CHARGE OF £20.00 PER DAY WILL APPLY..
Hahahahahahahahaha.I wonder if you leave it any longer they will clamp it and sell it again?0 -
Well, he's got feedback
"Aladdin seems genuine but is a car dealer that clocks the mileage back ! AVOID !"
Maybe a new sales pitch.0 -
I saw that, strange that that's listed as a positive feedback?!
I wonder if it's a clamping company doing it as scare tactics, they know that it'll get onto places like this and are trying to prove that people should pay up?
Could it be reported as theft on ebay? If the story is genuine how they got it then that's theft surely?0 -
Something very dodgy about that seller - you'll notice there's no mention of clamping on the previous auction.
IMO this would be theft as said above.0 -

I just assumed the buyer found out and left the follow up after he left the initial feedback.
Clamped cars coming with keys, V5, MOT?
Sounds more like a sales pitch for a cheap car with no comeback later.
No paypal as the accounts not up?
They've been on ebay since April, and changed their name on the 3rd of October.0 -
:rotfl: didn't see the V5 Present bit - ridiculous.0

Suzuki main dealer photos?
Yeah, pretty dodgy :rotfl:0 -
The Focus with the non matching wheels trims is a 3 door in one pic and a 5 door in another pic... LOLOL!0

Ebay is becoming more and more like Gumtree and the site admins seem either powerless or have no interest in sorting it.
I may report the ad on grounds that he is potentially selling stolen goods.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
