    Firstly, beware...
There is a bus replacement service between Bournemouth and Southampton that weekend.

Plenty of Advance Singles between Weymouth and Waterloo at £13.00 each way.
With a one day off peak travelcard at £7.50,
your complete return trip becomes £33.50.

Remember, with Advance Singles you must travel on the booked train.

If you are going in a group of 3 or 4 get a "Group save" ticket, pay for 2, the 3rd and 4th are free, so £33 each for 3 or £25 each for 4

Thanks , I have that now ! when you say £7.50 one day travel card , is that a tube ticket and will that get me to Twickenham ?

    thanks for help

I Thought that the train to twickenham from waterloo was overground and not on the tube network ? if it is that will save me a few quid

Its on the rail network and you can use your Oyster card to get there.

The one day travelcard will allow you to use any bus, tube or train within zones 1-6 in London. I would imagine that your Oyster would do the same (though I don't know about the war vet bit).
Basically, however you get from Waterloo to Twickenham you will be fine.

War Vet Oyster MAY be valid, see:

You can get a Veterans Oyster photocard to:

    National Rail services in London

    Travel free:
On any route from 09:30 on weekdays and at any time on weekends and public holidays

At any time on the following routes:
    • Amersham - Marylebone
    • Finsbury Park - King's Cross or Moorgate
    • Harrow & Wealdstone - Clapham Junction via Kensington (Olympia)
    • Harrow & Wealdstone - Euston

    • Stratford - Liverpool Street
    • Upminster - Fenchurch Street or Liverpool Street via Barking
    • West Ruislip - South Ruislip
    • London to Dartford or Swanley
Bottom line - believe you should be good to go on your War Vet Oyster between Waterloo and Twickenham
