Post disappeared?

I received an email from MSE saying that I had received a reply to a post (an old one) I did.
I was anxious to read the post as it might have helped me track the !!!!!! down!
I clicked the link sent in the email, it opened in the thread, bu there was no sign of this new post. I then looked for the name of the poster............. and found no one of that name. Can anyone explain this please.

Email Abuse with the link to the thread as they are the only people with the answer.0

The abuse team will not always say why a post has been removed, or a user PPR'd (especially when you are not that user)Could be, but I wish the moderator that did this would let me know why it was deleted!
The abuse team certianly won't review each and every thread that a PPR'd user has posted in, to check the subscribed users to those threads and then inform each of those subsscribed users that a post/user has been removed. Neither do I as a subscriber to many threads wish to be informed of every such removed post/user.
I have enough trouble with the trolls whose posts remain, let alone those who abuse have already removed.
