in Reclaim PPI & other insurance
Hiya

I have a ppi insurance claim going through yorkshire bank, via the FOS. The bank have ignored every letter of mine and the FOS and so its now going to the Ombudsman. How long does it take from here roughly? The guy at the FOS was who now passed my case on the the Ombudsman said its normally 3- 4 months...does this sound about right. He said that the bank did misell the PPI insurance but as the bank have ignored all letters, it now has to be passed on. Do the FOS award any compensation as a result of this dely by the bank...

    Yes that is very possible, although they do try to deal with it quicker.

    You should also be awarded further redress for distress and inconvenience - for your case going this far, have this been confirmed to you by the FOS too?

    Thanks for getting back to me....yep the FIS have confirmed that I was misold and that it is not going to the Ombusdman for final decision....does months sound about right.....:rotfl:
