If you get a NUS extra card (10) then you get 5% off your books until July next year

Amazon don't do codes other than the NUS Extra discount, or sometimes if you purchase 2 selected items.

£40 is cheap, one of the books recommended for my course costs £80 (and thats just 1). Luckly I found an ex library copy for £8 on AbeBooks.
  • Are you buying them from Amazon itself? You can offer find cheaper deals for new books (sold through wholesalers) on their Marketplace, although then you'll pay for postage. Play.com has a similar service called PlayTrade where postage is included.

Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")
  • If you have a student card for your college or uni, you'll probably be able to get 10% discount from the bookshop on campus. Because text books are normally priced everywhere at RRP they'll be the same price in store.
My DS was pleasantly surprised that the books for his course were available at the same price as Amazon locally and he saved 10% - £17 in his case so not to be sniffed at!

    It's only a game
